Imagine … a safe and separated path on Guildford Way from Coquitlam Town Centre Park to Rocky Point Park Port Moody for users of all ages and abilities.
The flat terrain and easy grades make this route ideal for easy walking, riding and rolling. This is Coquitlam’s section of The Great Trail – Trans Canada Trail – linking Town Centre Park Coquitlam to Rocky Point Park Port Moody. The route connects Douglas College, Pinetree Senior Centre, Coquitlam Recreation Centre, Scott Creek Middle School, Eagle Ridge Park and sports fields, Eagle Ridge Elementary, daycares, many strata dwelling complexes, Eagle Ridge Hospital, and the Coquitlam Crunch – one of Coquitlam’s most visited sites. The north side of the street is ideal for a multi-use path. There is space along the route to allow for a widened pathway, there are no private driveways to cross and little or no parking on the north side of the street.
This greenway is in the plan, let’s make it a reality. Your voice is needed!

Dear Mayor and Council, I am writing to express my support for a multi-use path (MUP) along Guildford Way from Pinetree to Port Moody. As a senior I do not feel safe cycling on Guildford Way in the painted bike lanes and do not feel comfortable cycling with young children along this corridor due to the speed and proximity of cars. I encourage council to consider building the Guildford Greenway!
