North Star Rail Trail + Chief Isadore Trail

The mountain views get bolder as you travel The Great Trail from Kimberley, down through the Rocky Mountain Trench beyond Cranbrook toward the Rockies at Wardner. There are over 150 km of trails in this region making it the longest linear greenway cycling route in the interior of BC. North Star Rails to Trails is an easy paved route and the Cranbrook Community Forest has many trails to explore. The Chief Isadore Trail was envisioned, fund raised and constructed by Trails BC/Rockies. The trail is rustic and forested with some grassland sections. There are options for everyone from short fun sections such as the Mayook Trail to the whole combined route of 72km.
