Go By Bike ~ Coquitlam

Go By Bike Week is a perfect time to explore the TriCities “Like a Local.”

There’s much to discover by bike and on foot — and Let’s Go Biking has routes for you!
All roads – and trails – lead to Coquitlam! Translink Bike Map helps get you there. Come via the Central Valley Greenway, Trans Canada Trail or Poco Traboulay Trail. Skytrain connects Coquitlam’s neighbourhoods: Lougheed, Burquitlam, Town Centre and Lafarge/Douglas.

Arrive at Town Centre Park and follow the Trans Canada Trail to Colony Farm or circle the Coquitlam River on forested trails.

Visit Austin Heights with its many shops and restaurants and follow the King Albert Greenway through neighbourhoods from Blue Mountain Park to Mundy Park. Try the mountainbike flow trails in the Riverview Forest.

Commuters will love Crosstown – a great connecting route across Coquitlam and there are Coquitlam Parks to enjoy along the way.

From Lougheed Skytrain Station it’s a short hop to enjoy a tasty bite at Korea Town Centre south of Lougheed and to connect to the Central Valley Greenway from Burnaby and New Westminster.

History buffs can discover Maillardville’s heritage at Mackin House, walk the Heritage Neighbourhood Loop and circle the Mackin Park perimeter path.
Roll along the safe and separated David Greenway and visit Burke Mountain Village with it’s many parks and the Smiling Creek Trails.  Mountain bikers enjoy dozens of trails on Burke Mountain and Eagle Mountain

New this year – explore Anmore’s amazing bikeways and spend the day at Buntzen Lake.  One of my favourite rides is to lunch at the Beanery on Westwood Plateau – follow the tracks and enjoy the ride.

Come for the day, stay longer, there’s so much to explore like a local in the TriCities.
