There’s lots of bird watching along the shores of Canoe Pass, formerly called Brunswick Point. Combine this ride with Westham Island for a longer day.
A great ride for those who like cycling on dyke trails amidst wildflowers and looking west over the Salish Sea. For a quieter section with the kids, start at 30B Street.
Keep your eyes open for flocks of ducks, fishing herons, eagles, and migrating birds.
Route
- Start at Wellington Point Park (or 30B Street)
- Ride south along River Road (busy car section)
- Continue onto dyke trail at 30B Street
- Ride out and back
