Seaside Greenway

Seaside Greenway is the most popular bike route in Vancouver. On a dedicated bike path separated from cars, it is safe for riders of all ages and abilities, and fun for pedestrians and joggers, too. The route follows The Great Trail from the Vancouver Convention Centre, along Coal Harbour, around Stanley Park Seawall and False Creek, to Granville Island. Take a ferry on False Creek and return on Hornby Bikeway, or continue west on Seaside Greenway to Jericho.

The Drive

Tour East Van and visit The Drive on the Adanac Bikeway. There are breweries to visit, murals to see, and restaurants and shops on Commercial Drive. Add on a loop through Strathcona and Chinatown. At the end of the day you’ll see a stream of crows in the sky as they fly home at night.

West Dyke + Middle Arm

Ride the Middle Arm dyke trail along the Fraser River with views of the airport, UBC rowing club, and Richmond Oval. From Terra Nova Park continue on West Dyke Trail looking for spotted cows, herons, ducks, and turtles. At Garry Point loop around the park trails then visit Steveston for fish and chips or an ice-cream at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Lynn Creek

There are two short but fun routes on Lynn Creek on the North Shore. Upper Lynn Creek has a more advanced trail and you can connect to Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. For a short and sweet ride explore Lower Lynn Creek. There’s a bike skills park in Inter River Park. Add on a short walk down Harbourview Trail and climb the viewing tower for a peek at the working harbour.

Stanley Park

The Stanley Park Seawall is Vancouver’s most famous ride. Part of The Great Trail, dozens of people ride this popular route every day, especially on weekends. Once the kids are confident on their bikes this is a great ride. There’s lots to see and do in Stanley Park — Aquarium, totem poles, gardens, lighthouse, and so much more! Explore the many park trails under the shade of tall cedars or enjoy a picnic at one of the beaches - a perfect ride for a hot summer day.

Portside Bikeway

Follow the Vancouver shoreline on Portside Bikeway. See the Container Port, tugs and fireboats, and enjoy views of The Lions and North Shore mountains. Explore New Brighton Park’s easy trails and discover the greenways and gardens of Hastings Park.
