#19 Fraser Lands

One day the parks all along the Fraser River will be linked together. (Experience Fraser Project)


This ride explores two sections -- Fraser Foreshore Park in Burnaby and Fraser Lands in Vancouver. The route follows the Fraser River shoreline with many views of tugboats, barges and log booms.  

There are places to stop and get close to the river.  There will be a new housing development starting soon - River District and that will provide more services and extend the trail.  At the moment there is Romer's Burger Bar at the foot of Kerr Street or you can bring a picnic lunch and watch the river traffic go by.

To access the park from the east side, follow Marine Drive to Byrne and head south to the end of Byrne.  There's parking there at the entrance to the park. Head west, following the bike path signs all along the river to just east of Argyle Street.

On the route back you can return via the same tracks or follow the Kerr Street bike route.

ADD ON: Just east of Byrne Road is a small connection to the park which you can add onto the route...
(Note: sometimes I park on Riverbend Drive and do the whole route from there and another extension is to start at the 22nd Street Skytrain Station and loop from there.)
